Throughout the late '40s, Christie lures middle-aged women to his London flat promising to cure their ailments with nitrous oxide, then kills them, assaults their dead bodies, and buries them. One of his victims is Beryl Evans (Judy Geeson), who misguidedly comes to Christie seeking an abortion -- and in the process, not only loses her own life, but sets in motion a horrid sequence of events that threatens to endanger her husband as well.

Story of A serial killer during WW2 and after. Based on a true story. This creepy guy is killing women wherever he can find them, I guess for sexual enjoyment. The interesting thing is that this movie could not be filmed until 50 year later. This a British law. Also he was the last man to hang in England, the death penalty was off the table. For hanging the wrong man, for the 10 Rillington Place murders. This director also did The Boston Strangler and Compulsion.
