Apache On The Warpath: Geronimo (1993)
The Apaches were a wild and free people, as wild and free as the animals they shared the land with. When the white man came, the Apache greeted him with suspicion, an instinctive distrust that proved to be correct. Of all the Indian wars, this was the longest and most bitterly fought, with the Apaches being the last organized body of Indians to fight the government. The story of the fiercest of all of the Apache warriors, Geronimo, has been told many times, but always from the white man's perspective. This film has been created using the very words of Geronimo taken unedited and unchanged from the interviews conducted with him by S.N. Barrett and Asa Deklugie (the son of Whoa, Chief of the Nedni Apaches). It also contains many rare historical photos detailing the life and times of the last of the great Indian warriors, the people who followed him and the enemies they fought.

an in depth look into the mind and struggles of the Apache war chief. he had more excursions into Mexico then I had imagined and had a great hate for the Mexican people who murdered his family. The American Army lied to him as they did all Native American tribes. The entire documentary was in his own written words which made it more real............
