The childless married representative Thomas Träumer is a respectable and kindhearted petty bourgeois. Since he can not say no, the care of a small dog is formally awakened. Through the cute little dog, he gets in touch with three girls who are not as harmless as they look: two of the young ladies have escaped from a care institution and on the run from the police. Through his kindness Thomas Träumer does not have the heart to deliver the lovely girls to the police. Rather, he offers them shelter and hides them. Through this good-natured assistance, Träumer finally comes under suspicion of escape favoritism and moral misconduct. After all these misunderstandings, can he save the situation and invalidate the suspicion?
