In this light comedy, Ethel Hoyt (Marion Davies) is the spoiled flapper who strings along her six boyfriends, all seniors at Harvard. Her father (Tom Lewis) decides after seeing Shakespeare's The Taming Of The Shrew that his daughter could use a Petruchio to set her straight. Mr. Hoyt hires the actor who played Petruchio to appear opposite his daughter in an amateur production, warning him to walk away after she falls for him. The smitten actor ends up falling for Ethel and confesses the plan to her. Ethel goes into a verbal tirade before later realizing he is the man she really loves.
