I always enjoy Randolph Scott, but the stars of this show are the kids, especially Peggy Ann Garner. It's a mystery, and the conclusive clue is a bit contrived. Nonetheless, the story holds up for a good evening's entertainment, even though, veteran mystery aficionado that I am, I figured out whodunit long before the finale.

It's a murder mystery, investigated by neighboring children, who are more clever than detectives on the case....a scenario for much amusement.
A "tiny" vertical line that sometimes appears on the screen (because the film was never restored) in no way detracts from the clear quality of the picture.
Children from my era absolutely loved this movie.
It's good clean fun the whole family can enjoy.
