When a film is advertised as Lightning Bill, but the opening credits say "Lighting Bill", bad-movie aficionados know they're in for a good time -- and this film doesn't disappoint in that respect. Superior Pictures seemingly specialized in shoddy, inept, incoherent westerns, of which this is a prime example. The plot, such as it is, concerns a ranch hand who helps his boss fend off a gang of villains. Watch for scenes that start in almost pitch black and end up in blinding sunlight -- even though it's supposed to be in the middle of the night! The audio track goes from barely audible to almost eardrum-shattering and back to barely audible again -- in the same scene. Needless to say, the acting is horrendous, the script nonsensical, what sets there are appear to be not much more than cardboard -- all in all, a bad-movie lover's dream come true.
