  In this drama, based on a novel by Graham Greene, and set during the bombing of London in WW II, two lovers find their affair disrupted by a bomb that mortally wounds the man. The woman prays that he will live. In exchange for his life, she vows to return to her husband. He lives and she keeps her promise. She then pays a terrible emotional price for her decision.
