  In this crime drama, prison warden Frank Carmichael (whose wife is wheel-chair bound) and prisoner Johnny Hutchins have been kidnapped by desperate convicts and shoved inside a speeding truck. A wreck ensues and only Frank and Johnny survive. Later the warden steals a fortune and sets Johnny up for the fall. Convicted of killing a guard, the innocent Johnny is sent to death row. He manages to escape, but unfortunately, the cops capture him again. Fortunately, the warden's conscience flares up and he confesses all.
