In this romance, a plucky Spanish girl dreams of becoming a bullfighter. To do so, she begins pretending to be a boy and training under her idol. He is pleased with her progress and allows her to work the small-town corridas. Unfortunately, her ruse begins to unravel when she falls in love with her mentor. When she sees the great matador with another woman, she becomes terribly jealous. The bullring manager realizes that she is female. To assist her, he convinces her to dress up as a gypsy and dance for her love. She does this and he falls instantly in-love, sweeping her off the street and galloping down the street with her upon his horse.
