I so wanted to see this documentary because my father served in the US Army Air Force during WWII and was stationed in England. He spoke about his years of service to me when I was growing up, and he was very proud to be a part of the US Army Air Force (as it was called back then). In fact, in the 1960s he was able to travel to England and visited areas where his unit had stayed in Quonset huts. He told me the air strips were gone and were now farmers' fields. He did say he saw a Quonset hut that was still standing there.
