Saw this as a child and choked with emotion. Viewed it many time in 75 years and have now found my own copy.
The film has never changed but I have over time. I have had a life long study of this horrific tragedy. It has always been meaningful to me. My brother was killed in Korea and the loss of the 5 Sullivan brother kept me from serving in Vietnam.
While it may not be a cinematic block-buster it is a very moving film that is still difficult to watch. The price of freedom is steep and is long remembered.
I recommend this to anyone with interest in WW2. This is based on the actual loss at sea of 5 brothers early in the war.

The story tells how the brothers from the same family met their fate during World War 2.

I had looked all over for this vintage movie of the life of the five Sullivan brothers lost at sea. Most sites didn't have it, and on Amazon.com the price they wanted was astronomical. So I turned to Zeus, and I am so glad that I did. The price of the movie was quite reasonable and the quality was excellent. Thanks, Zeus for providing quality classical films at reasonable prices.
